Mayor Pro Tem Diane Goddeeris and Council member Kathy Boyle are not running for re-election to East Lansing's City Council.
Assuming none pulls out of the race, the following seven people will be running for the three open spots on East Lansing City Council on November 3, 2015:
The three seats are for four-year terms and are "open," meaning they are not specific to any district of the City. After the election, the five Council members will elect a mayor from among the five.
ELi will be covering council elections, including running profiles on candidates, looking into their campaign financing, and reporting on debates between them.
